The B type thermocouple is a high-temperature thermocouple that is commonly used for temperature measurement in industrial and laboratory applications. It is made of two different types of metals, usually platinum and rhodium, that are joined together to form a junction.

However, the B type thermocouple is more expensive than other types of thermocouples, such as the K or J type.
